Getting a weird spike/dip in RPM, and at times overboost spikes, after closing throttle. EPC(p0234 but no limp mode)will happen on occasions where ecu psi spikes as high as 24 after releasing the pedal.
I’ve been working with George but wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on the matter.

OEM DV?

Why is rpm and afr so choppy? Even in your vid it doesn't accelerate smoothly. You should be able to drop the hammer and go. This was my JB4 quick pull:

You say this is your DD map? Is this on straight 93, or running an e mixture? Now that I'm FBO (IC/DP/Clutch :D), I think it's time to up my settings a little.

I'm thinking of using yours with a minus 1-1.5 from 5k and up. Or do you recommend waiting until it's hot again and logging with different settings first?

It was a test on my setup with e30

So went to the track On Friday and it was my First time using jb4 from a dead stop and ran into issues in 2nd gear, only with map 1 and only 2nd gear. Did 3rd gear pulls without issue.
Fuel = 93 with 2.5 gallons of E85
Mods= drop in filter and catted downpipe.
JB4 settings = Boost safety 25 for map 1, 26 for map 6. 1st gear max boost 18. 2nd gear max boost 20

Here are 3 runs with the issue in 2nd gear on map 1

So I made a custom map 6 tune and was able to run it without issue.

I have a few theories but wanted to see what others with more experience thought.

I feel like it’s a dv issue. cant open quick enough. might want to take it apart and lube it

ecupsi 29... thats nuts

Yeah do you think it’s spiking to 29 like that after it hits my 25 psi max, which then causes a false high reading of 29?

Or could it be my 2nd gear max boost setting messing with it?

I’ll have them when I go back, probably this Friday. After map 1 crashed and burned on me twice, I just ran map 0 and my best time was 14.0

Guys I don’t know how to help my friend with his jb4 setings. We tried few different setings with auto shift boost redux and he always has weird AFR and IGN drop after shift from 2nd to 3rd.
Car is S3 8v
