I do, and plan on putting it back in soon. With the colder weather we have had lately it hasnt been a huge issue

Similar to what imthanik mentioned. At least one person complained about throttle response. Then the typical heat soak complaints, but of course that can happen independent of the JB1.

If you got compressor surge its going to happen regardless of a closed or open intake. The difference is with the open you can hear it.
With the open air as long as the left side of the airbox area is closed off and the pipe is not attached to the engine there are no heat soak issues or lag.

I have a stock facelift GTI and looking to buy either JB1 or JB4. I am not planing to add anything more then the tuner as it's a leased car.
Which one should I get? Is there a retailer in Canada to avoid shipping cost?
