That Datsun 210 would be hot shit nowadays. It's interesting to see what was once embarrassing is now a collectible.

True! And it was only embarrassing in the way that my big bro modified it. However, he installed a Monza exhaust with a cat delete. It actually sounded pretty good. When the car landed in my hands, the front air dam, heart beat tint, and DIY smoked headlight covers from TAP plastics were stripped off.

1976 Dodge Aspen (Worst. Car. Ever.)
1979 VW Rabbit (Pennsylvania-built, electrics eventually burned up)
1982 Buick Century (Ok, sue me; I was young)
1984 Camaro Z28 (Quality was meh, handling was ace, less than the sum of its parts)
1985 Mustang GT (5MT, 4bbl, fast for its time, fun, built like crap)
1987 Integra (Solid, fun, not terribly fast but worked on the Autobahn for me)
--long term rental Audi 80 in Germany (Eh, it worked)
1995 Saturn (Sedan, whatever it was called, after someone totaled the Acura. Totally meh).
1997 Mazda B4000 (Only truck I ever owned. Worked for what I needed it for; manual tranny, 4x4)
1999 Acura GS-R (Maybe the most fun car I've owned. Sweet all around. Too bad it was a lease)
2002 WRX (Fun as hell, built like crap, uncomfortable)
2005 Focus ST (Old model, thoroughly meh, but cheap and fun-ish)
2010 Fusion Sport (Well built, reasonably fast, comfortable--no clutch! Couldn't handle that).
2012 GTI (What can I say? Excellent car, 2DR, 6MT, wife hated the plaid seats)
2016 R (I like it lots)

1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT base 5MT- Was a tank! Got rear ended multiple times and destroyed the cars that hit her with little bumper damage

2000 Phoenix Yellow Acura Integra Type-R #181 - my favorite car I've ever owned and which everything will be compared to. Rear ended RIP

2003 Infiniti G35 6MT - great looking car at the time

2006 Honda S2K - super fun to drive in perfect weather. Any sign of liquids or cold on the street spells doom

2011 Lexus IS250 - impulse buy after a snowstorm. Ugh

2015 Jeep GC Diesel - For the family, still own

2017 Pure White GTI SE 6MT - got rid of wife's CRZ and got this guy!

Here are the "fun" ones. Though my first car was a 1998 Grand Caravan and it likely was the most fun, nobody wants to see that. Most were modified quite a bit, listing the highlights. Currently I own a 2016 GTI PP LP and 2006 Mini Cooper S JCW with 28k miles, don't have good photos of either.

-2009 Mazdaspeed 3 - First car I modified. Cobb stage 2, Volk TE37.
-2008 R32 - Good car, very slow, and lots of DSG issues.
-2008 STI - Fully built and balanced with forged internals, GTX3076, AST4100 coilovers.
-2005 Elise - Supercharged, Nitron coilovers. Amazing.
-1988 M5 - Really should not have sold this...
-2004 M3 - Or this. Ohlins R&T, Volk ZE40, and tons of maintenance.
-2007 RS4 - Very special car despite the understeer, miss it.
-2010 GTI - Great DD, just APR tuned.
-1997 M3 - Always wanted a Techno Violet M car.
-2001 323i - Really cool hauler, wanted to S54 swap eventually.

1976 Dodge Dart-slant six. Fun to drive as first car.
1986 Oldsmobile Calais. Piece of crap with electrical problems.
1996 Toyota Carolla. Never broke once in 11 years!!!!
2008 Toyota Tundra
2011 VW Sportwagon diesel tdi. Sold to buddy just before recall. Felt terrible but he made out alright.
2014 BMW X3. Got a lemon. Electrical problems. BMW then put me in a m235i for no additional charge! This started my addiction to speed. Just traded in for 2017

Ran 14.7 with just a tune. 6MT, leather, sunroof and an average of 38mpg throughout ownership. Was in an accident before purchase that wasn't repaired correctly + an annoying noise in the front end that couldn't be traced. Upgraded to the GTI after 6 months.

Having sold my Mk7 GTi Performance Pack back in 2016, I moved onto other cars and mainly RWD as i felt the Golf was a perfect for the road, but a little dull on track.

Nice car the M2 in manual, but surprisingly it's the only car I have driven that felt more than the weight on paper. Strange feeling driving a car that is 1500kg but feels 1800kg.

GT86 with adjustable Bilsteins suspension was my preferred transport on track but hard work with ear plugs for the 2-4 hr slog getting to track days.

Now back in a Golf 7.5 Gti Performance as I've stop doing track days!

lol

Thanks ;)

I logged in and looked at my old posts, it was like a little VW time capsule.

Its taken a long time to get back to the GTi I regretted selling it as it was such a great car, just not what I wanted at the time for track days. Now back and loving it(y)
