No kidding though, if I was going to get a GT car under $40k it would probably be a lightly used A5 coupe. I just love the way they look and I love how simple and nice Audi interiors are.

Same it fits the GTI upgrade path although an S or RS would be better 😅

Yeah fair, starting to see some decent B9 S5's in that range. The reliability of the B9 A5 appeals to me and the 2.0T is no slouch, especially with a tune.

34k isn't bad for that. RS6 will be significantly more

Can't find that denim batting mentioned earlier for sale anywhere so I got a couple rolls of this stuff on sale to see how it does: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004Y6SX1Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Since it seems I've attacked the right area with dampening, I'm going to add a little more mass, then add a layer of this stuff under the carpeting. Pretty inexpensive test. On the other hand, I'm scared to fuck with anything or even drive the car again 😂.

I’m just so damn happy for you, Man! I have some time today to install some killmat. You’ve inspired me to get busy and get it done. I’ll be focused on reducing noises that I don’t want (road noise), without losing exhaust/ engine noise.

This is more what you should be looking at for automotive it's a PET that's used for various purposes including carpets, wheel liners, dash silencers, and hood silencers. We use various GSM (gram weight) depending on what we're targeting but sometimes it's just finding a balance.
