Update! It's running again, with the help of my friend and MQB guru Meich!
1: old unit, dead (and dusty)
2: old next to new (and the perfect time to clean things)
3: where the old one was sitting
4: new unit, alive (and not coded yet)
5: after coding, still a lot of errors to be resolved
But hey! It's driving again!
Now all I have to do is do a basic setting of the steering system. Tried it several times yesterday, but wasn't succesful. This causes a domino-effect of errors:
No steering angle sensor calibration = no ESP = errors in braking system = no hybrid power recuperation.
But nothing that can't be managed!

Recently I also changed cluster to new one. I've got it coded, adapted, Component Protection removed, immobi done.
Please check your mileage. Is it correct?
My car now got my old mileage + mileage from new cluster = it summed up (+10k km).

Yeup! Budget minded for now.
So far I've noticed that even with the extra sidewall, the ride is firmer (which I expected compared to the stock all seasons).
What I really noticed was the increased grip. It's lovely.

ProClip phone mount. I use the QuadLock mounting system for use on the motorcycle (GPS), so I skipped purchasing the ProClip phone cradle and purchased an extra QuadLock "Wall Mount" instead. Just 'twist, lock & go'.

In the past I always put black wheels on my cars. Time for a change.
Those look great on Pure White. Getting tired of cleaning my gloss black wheels every week. But boy did they look good on day one. Either time for new wheels, or new pads.

Before you take the plunge on quad lock, I use a proclip with a Pitaka aramid phone case and Qi magnetic wireless charging mount. The case is unbelievably thin considering it has a metal plate in it for the magnets, whereas the quad lock case is pretty bulky.
I had to hack the mount backing a bit and epoxy it to the proclip, but now it’s in it’s the best mount I’ve ever had - discrete, secure and so easy to attach your phone to.
