Rear brakes today at about 45k, pads down to metal and straight up grinding. Did the fronts at 40k. But the last 5k miles have not been like the first 40, lol.

Since I last posted, the car has undergone a whole front-end rebuild. It needed a new clutch to handle XL E85 power, then snowballed into a "while you're in there" thing, chasing the car's ultimate brief which is to be a more capable companion to the 718 GTS. So now it has a Wavetrac and CSS knuckles and a bunch of other cool shit. It drives incredible, I love it more than ever, and I really need to do a build thread.

So I went to a little pop up meet with some locals last night, despite my OEM rear wing being gone lol. I am noticing more and more that I think my BC coilovers are possibly done. They have around 60k miles on them and even the slightest road imperfection hits hard and resonates through the entire cabin. I started last night researching which KW setup would include the mounting plates. It seems info varies between retailers as well as pictures of product of which version has this or that. I have Koni SA's to install at the rear but my problem is up front. If anyone has a part# that would be great. I read somewhere there is like a $2500 version that has mounting plates.

Ordered a new front bumper. Once the old one is off I can dig out the broken black plastic piece just beneath the lower grille and get the damn part# to order that too.

I’ve been back home from work travel for about a week now. Gave her a good wash and oil change. Going to look at the right front abs sensor wite repair I had to make a few years back when I damaged it during suspension install. When I’m at full right lock on the steering wheel, the dash lights up as if the battery is going. Sometimes it clears without restarting the car. Battery test good so makes me think it may be the solder failing on my splice.

I got impatient last night so I set up my sawhorses and made a make-shift painting area in the garage. Laid a light coat of black on the wing and side pieces. Definitely going to have to re-sand, got some textured looking areas about the size of a golf ball in 4 spots. The sides look decent. Might try some filler primer tonight before sanding.

You know I never even considered those. They look to be in between ST's and KW's from a price standpoint. The bigger question is which ones have longevity? I don't want to be buying coilovers again in another 60k miles.

I've heard ~50k is generally the actual lifetime of most struts, AFAIK. Difference is, lots of people drive on failed/failing struts and don't know it for ages.

e: not that I know anything good or bad RE: Fortune. I know I've heard lots of good things about RedShift for motorsports use, but know nothing about them for street. My ST suggestion is one based on street car and aesthetic, with decent road handling in mind -- not track car, not show car, just inexpensive fun (I'm on a semi budget lol)
