Mk7 parts haven’t been selling at all lately, so I’ve been working a little OT at work instead (which is actually lucrative vs building car parts just being fun).

So I paid off our XC90 today, and washed the old farm truck for the first time since I’ve owned it.

Went to look at an old crappy farm house on 46 acres yesterday (this kind of shopping is why I paid off the Volvo).

So if anyone would be interested in the Clover, SC house and shop that may be something I’d entertain (it’s not officially on the market).

Yeah it needs literally EVERYTHING, but the 46 acres is awesome (two creeks, multiple build sites, tons of elevation change aka fun for a family who all rides MX).

We’d do a renovation & addition on the brick house. Eventually my dad would build a barndo there as well. So basically short term discomfort to have what I’d need to make 4x the money to just go out and buy already done.

My wife has wanted to restore a 100 year old home since we bought our first one, so basically the land is my dream and the house is hers.

I installed the RSB clamps I got earlier and went for a drive along my usual commute and not a single damned squeak. It was glorious. Ignore the crappy job I did of hitting up a few bare spots on the sway bar with paint.

Replaced the plugs. Had an oh shit moment when one of the bolts fell down into the engine bay. Got it out after some fishing and rocking the car back. Plugs look good 10k on Ruths on APR Stage 1 91 Oct Low Torque.

Replaced AC blower motor at 149k miles. Oiled it at 80k & 105k miles when it started acting up. I was going to do that again but I've been driving long distance & didn't want to get stuck without AC.

PSA : rotate your tires. I've been lazy after I stopped tracking & ended up with fronts that look like this.

Changed the front PP diff fluid for the first time at 120K...woopsies. The oil was pretty dark, but the filter was clean, so that was good.

I also replaced the DP hanger, as it was squeaking whenever I went over small bumps.

Finally got around to installing coilovers yesterday, super happy with the look.

The install itself was SHOCKINGLY (lol) easy, I was expecting a lot more cursing and rage. The 2x4 method was stupid easy the strut just fell out on both sides.
Thankful I tried the DIY instead of paying $450.

Gonna keep dialing the height in the next week or 2 then get an alignment
