Once you're done with the suspension for a bit, yes you should get an alignment. If you've just done the springs/struts and know you're going to be doing say, control arm bushings in a month, then you can probably get away with not doing the alignment. But generally speaking if you touch something in there, get it aligned.
A month is enough time to eat a set of tires up.

AFE Cold Air, VIOFO A229+, and oil change done with VW508 0w20 Liqui-Moly yesterday at 45310 miles. Really happy with the wooshy the AFE gives. Dash cam is for peace of mind. Anyone else with a dash cam have the fob battery message pop up or just coincidence it’s dying now? Is it a 2034 battery? Think I may have a spare in my desk at work.

Everything I read said I needed VW508 Spec 0w20, Liqui-Moly is the go to brand. I know some people run thicker oil but I live in the desert, figure I don’t need thicker. Car is also stock tuned.
I’m betting the question was in regard to the 0w20.

In terms of viscosity, 0W-20 oil is thinner and offers better flow at lower temperatures compared to 0W-40. This makes it a good choice for colder climates and startup conditions. On the other hand, 0W-40 has a higher viscosity, providing better protection at higher temperatures and under heavy loads, making it suitable for warmer climate or older engines.

Good to know. Sticker on my hood said 0w20 so that’s what I ordered. FCP also only had 0w20 kits I’m pretty sure

I think oil weight is like spark plugs on the forums. Easy to get way too obsessed about it.

I run 5w40, and my car hasn’t fallen apart yet, and don’t really care to geek out to switch to something “better”.

Drove it around a little over the weekend after a detailing. I was trying to see if I still a weird feeling brake pedal, suggesting I needed to bleed them. Well I did at first, but after a few miles the pedal felt almost normal again. I'm still planning a new set of Hawk pads though, because it's time. Noticed she was slow to start up, but that was probably because she had been sitting for a while.

Which Hawks? I have the HP+ and they are so. dusty. So I'm looking for a better street pad. I thought about HPS, or maybe some Ferodo compound.

mine were horrifically dusty. I switched over to ceramics and the difference is dramatic
