Another on Opensauce! Big thanks to all involved. @aaronc7 has been a HUGE help getting me started. Can't say enough about how helpful he has been, answering all my dumb questions. Switchleg's Simostools is nothing short of amazing. The logging resolution and ease of use as ridiculous. Flashing is super simple.
Wait.. I owe you money or something now, right?

Hello from Portugal, I'm new here I learned about Open source a few days ago when I was investigating the possibility of updating the version SW of my ECU from my 7 GTi Dsg performance.

I already buy a tactrix 2.0 open port

I want to update this becouse the original software of my car don't allow tu put pops only in mode sport....

I need version 259C

Anyone from group already do any like this???

Assuming you're currently on 5G0905259_0009 or 10 or similar, I am showing that you should be able to upgrade to 5G0905259C_0002 without any issue or risk of bricking ECU.

I have an a2l for both files and the ImoDat.Imo_idxTun01 - 05 values match-- which means "upgrade" should be no issue at all.

You just simply need to get the appropriate frf and flash via VW_Flash or whatever tool

Hello friends today my Open port 2.0 arrived and it was my first flash....I flash a original file for update my ECU version of my golf 7 GTi Dsg 2013 from 5G0906259 to 5G0906259C version I flash a TCU to with a file too....I have successfully no problem with flash car runs and no problems with gearbox...

Not everything its perfect I have permanently errors on 1 module motor (doors and TCU communication) and 13 module radar I don't know if is coding or any incompatibility, coding is the same both version 259 or 259c.

Anyone have a rough cost of what the items needed to get started with this? Looks interesting and like it would have more options than my current flash tune with JB4 stack. Is there a difference in the 1.8T file for the AWD vs FWD?

Question on the "Stock" file as well, would it retain the original Calibration ID and Calibration Number? CA smog runs an ECU check for these now. :cautious:
