Nice, thanks, much appreciated! Where is the backup data located in OBD11? It might be the morning before I can get to that...

Follow the steps in the screen shots below - but obviously choose the Brake module, rather than the Central electrics module as shown

Hotfart: If you post-up a copy of the backup data for the Brake module on your car - I'll have a look at it for you - I'm positive we can find a way of doing the tweak manually

Don, could I jump in here also for this? I'm having the exact same issue as Hotfart with the Brakes module on obdeleven.

Hotfart: Ok - I think that you are almost there - but the good bit of your backup file is missing!!

So, below I've included a copy of the exact same file for the Brake module from my car - notice the Adaptation channel list that hangs off the information that you posted. This is the bit that is missing.

You need to copy paste the entire file - but add the "code" tags at the beginning and the end of your data. If "tags" are something that you have not used previously, just respond with quote to this post and you will see how I've used the "code" tags.

If you didn't get any Adaptation channels listed in your backup file - then this is indeed odd!! Make sure that the ignition is turned-on, but the engine is turned off. Then clear the App cache on your tablet/mobile phone before you open OBD11 and try the backup procedure again.

Don, I followed the steps in your screenshot. How did you get the bottom left Backup screen? There was nothing to select to expand all those options like you showed.

Here is what I was able to get from sending myself the logs. It looks like I am not seeing Adaptations information just like Hotfart...what gives? :(

Unfortunately I don't seem to be having any luck. I pulled another log, and it was identical to my earlier one. I cleared the data and cleared the cache beforehand as well. As you can see, the 01 and 03 control units are red, I don't know if that means it's locked or something? And when I hit "Adaptation" within 03 Brakes, it gives the error message "Description data not found". When I do a backup, it shows complete at 0% and spits out the incomplete log.

I don't think I'm missing any steps here, but it seems something has gone awry. Or is it possible these '17's are simply just not supported yet for certain areas?

Vincenz, sorry to hear you're having issues as well! But it does make me feel a little better in that it appears it's not user error...

I wonder if the guys at OBD11 have been made aware of the issue, and/or if they're already working on it? I'll have to search around to see what kind of customer support they offer, or if there's a way to open up a service ticket or similar. Getting late here, might have to do that tomorrow...

Hotfart, had the exact same issues as you with that Description data error message and the 0% complete for the backup. Something weird is going on here.

Here's hoping Don can lend his expertise! I've been trying to change the torque limiter also, but this software bug has blocked me as well.

I believe DAP is the exclusive U.S. distributer for OBD11? Maybe they can lend a hand as well. I'll mess around with contacting them tomorrow.

hmm............. looks very weird -both of you have the same Brake module and you both have the same problem

I suggest a well worded (but polite) email to the boffins @ OBD11 HQ is warranted. You can try DAP - but I suspect they will just be a post box for OBD11

Sorry I couldn't be of better assistance!

Very much appreciate your assistance - quite helpful! I haven't researched it yet, but could our modules instead be accessible/editable through VCDS? If so, looks like I'm on the hunt to borrow or buy one.

Hotfart: well worth a try (borrow a Ross Tech cable)- VCDS uses an entirely different database. I'd be very interested in your findings -please!

I have both HEX+CAN and HEX-NET cables, so you are welcome to come down here and use mine. It's really not that far - just keep heading South and if you get to Tasmania, you have gone too far
