You made a mistake on the coding for the running lights

As far as brake lights when the car is off, mine doesn't do it either. I don't think they turned on even before I did this mod.

They should when you think about it for safety reasons

Gabriel,
The coding you posted is NOT for LED tails, those are for halogen!
for full brake lights on LED's you need to use 27NSL !

i'll explain:
on halogen tails, 23SL and 24SL are the inner brake lights, that's why they tell you to set function C to brake light

BUT on LED's, 23SL and 24SL are the bicolor leds that run through the blinker, and as you can see in the second pic you posted, function A already defines them as brake light..
so on LED's, both inner lights are controlled by 27NSL

Grtz

HIIIII :)

I did! Still bright inners when switch is on, but work fine when switch is off.

(8)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Lichtfunktion C 27 - set value to Brake light (default: Not Active)
(10)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Dimmwert CD 27 - set value to 100 - (default: 0)

I have both my old and new maps side by side, with all the adjustments (highlighted), and with the 2 above, all correct. Going to email to you, so you can see I am not crazy. This is odd.

ok, i'll take a look!
so if i understand correctly: when your lights are on, you only have 3 brakelights, when lights are off, you have 5 ?

Out buying a repair/resell car, will make a video when I get back.
Did not send file, on laptop, will email that as well.

Noticed 2193 (new count, minus 7) coming from 2196 (old count, minus 7) btw.
Highlighted each (3) old lines in blue, that were from the old map, and not on the new map.

Here is the part number 000 979 009

Two different types of crimps on BCM.

The above PN (add E or EA to the end now) connect on the insides of A/B/C BCM blocks, while 000-979-025-E connect on the outsides of the blocks and everywhere else relating to the tail lights.

The pic below shows the two types of crimps on the bcm.
The left go on the inner rows, the one on the right on the outer rows and to the tail light male plugs (that plugs to the lights).

Again:
The right row (outer) of wires are 025-E crimps.
The left row (inner) of wires are 009-E crimps.

As cap already mentioned/posted, where you can buy the crimps (Deytrade) and tool in a former post (pic below of what it looks like and runs like $14).

Can also find them both on ebay.

My Golf R only needed 2 x 009-E crimps
(for A60 and C31, if you dont want to cut and re-use the ones mentioned in the instructions)

About 7 x 025-E's (for X wire (2), Y wire (2) and grey wire (2) and 1 x for A65 to C3 extension).

EU GTIMK7 LED Tail lights installation

Hey guys :),
I need your help; I have EU GTIMK7 2015 with standard tail light, and I have purchased EU Golf R LED tail lights, but I'm ultra-confused about how to install them correctly:confused::confused:

I would like to:

1) Avoid to cut the original wires
2) Avoid to code but whitout having a board computer error
3) Obtain all the correct function of arrow light and rear fog light

I read all the thread but i'm really confused.
maybe possible to have a good DIY guide to this job correctly; I would like to do today or tomorrow.
Many thanks :):):):)

If you have an european GTI, you should have GTI LED tail lights?
I checked the website of VW Italy, GTI models already have LED's so why spend a lot of money to replace them?

Replacing GTI LED lights with R LED lights is done in 15 minutes, just change the light blocks and your done..
