Cam follower HPFP

Howdy, I have the EA888 gen 3. Best I can determine, this is no longer an issue. Is that true?

There has only been one cam follower failure on a Gen 3 that has been posted, and it was a 100k+ mile engine.

I plan to replace mine early as preventative maintenance because I'm running a HPFP which increases stress on the follower by 50%, but for a stock HPFP it appears to be a non-issue. Certainly nothing like the previous EA888s.

Yes I had a MK5 GTI and that flat cam follower would get chewed through fairly often. I replaced mine 3 times before selling.
