Oil temp 235

My oil temp is usually 232-234, hit 235 after I did a pull in sport mode, although I do a lot of city driving, today I was city driving for 2 hours before it hit 235.

Seems a bit high, but not alarming. I was running around 235 on the way across the desert last weekend - constant 85 mph in 111-degree heat.

235 is not high for oil temp. We use 40 weight for a reason. Even 240-250 is fine.

Cold weather 220-225F normal.
Hot weather 230-235F normal.

I've seen 235 on a hot day in city driving couple of times, no big deal.

Recently added one of the finned oil filter caps.
Not sure how much it helps but on a recent 3 hour drive, temp 80F with drive starting at 6PM, I found the car held a constant oil temp of 217F at 75mph.

Before the oil filter cap it would run 220-225F same situation.

Not sure impact but thought it was interesting. Looks good also.

geesh, mine never goes above 225
