Noticed today I have to have my steering wheel slightly turned to the left to go straight and the car wants to pull to the right a bit, so something funky has happened with my alignment. Nothing seems loose or clunky. Eh I'm sure it'll sort itself out on the track tomorrow ?

Did an oil change and a DSG fluid change at 22k miles. I know, way early, but I’ve basically halved all of the fluid intervals for 7 years now and it’s served me well.

Also poured new and used DSG on my garage floor for science. The used fluid is slightly more amber than the new fluid.

Here’s to hoping it lasts at least 700,000 miles more (fingers crossed, knocks on wood).

DSG fluid looks good, but that’s definitely cheap insurance to make sure it stays healthy.

That & mountain runs (for the health of the car of course). I’ll be staying up in Old Fort a few nights this coming week so if you wanna get the car nice and hot to leak check the DSG let me know haha

Paid another F*&K ton of money to the shop. Should be back on the road soon, although they did not give me an ETA. I know the ACT Xtreme clutch is in stock, so I think I'm just waiting for their euro specialist to be free again. It's immediately going on jack stands when I get home in order to raise coilovers to fit meatier rubber, and swap new oil pan and some other stuff I can do myself that opted to do on my own to save labor charges. Kinda nervous about the clutch driveability in traffic, but I guess it is what it is. Will also be pulling front bumper to fix it cosmetically, and do some other here and there stuff. Brake pad swap too if I can ever find my previous order of Hawk pads that fit the Macans. I bought 2015 Subie STI fitment pads because that is what I used last time, these pads don't fit though, easily way too big.

IIRC, depending on the site, 15 STI is the 6 pot, but that would be 16 STI in US.

Best to look for STI 04 - 15. In Japan and Europe that's 03 - 14.

Kind of like how Japan already has the ND3 and we don't get it until next year.

After adding and then removing a EQT Vortex from my cart approximately 1000 times over the past two weeks I finally pulled the trigger on it. Can't wait for it to get here!
LOL I'm not even going to say how much I debated between the Vortex and the Mamba 3076. I decided on the Mamba 3076, but that is when I also found out that my dog was going to need the money for the turbo for leg surgery.

This is how my wife's cat got the name Piston -- he got surgery rather than her dad fixing his motorcycle. Good dad, good cat dad, good cat.

Ordered a metal oil pan and some low profile ramps. Tomorrow or Friday getting a low profile (lower that what I got now) floor jack. Hopefully this will allow me to get the GTI on jack stands when she returns home.

I guess it's a bit late now, but I bought a handful of 2x10s and screwed them together, with 45 degree cuts with the circular saw to provide a bit of an easier climb to the next level. The topmost platform has a 2x3 at the end as a 'stopper', and each portion of the ramp has a roughly 18" flat section before the start of the 45 up to the next section. Heavy, but I'm confident in their holding ability for a while.

Mind if I ask what ramps you ordered? I have a pair of the plastic ones, but I get kind of antsy about them over time as who knows what plastic will do when it lives in a garage with a wide array of temperature swings.
