Peeled the plastidip off my car from the C-pillar back because I really missed the DBP. Planning on cleaning/waxing it tomorrow.

Also slapped on a carbon fiber read hatch protector. It was like $2 on aliexpress. I'd be upset had I paid any more for it but the fitment isn't terrible and it seems like it'll actually protect the top of the bumper.

Also also installed a badge-less front bumper that I bought for $66 on eBay. The quality seems good, and I like the fact that it's finished in gloss black instead of matte. The fitment of the black puck isn't great but I'm going to have a friend that is familiar with this kind of bodywork help me fill in the notch. I think the whole look really cleans up the front end of the car.

Rear GTI badge delete
Added APR Stage 1 badge to hatch (can't tell if it's tacky or not yet. Might plastidip black)

Reeeally want 4" exhaust tips

Cheers everyone!

*edit wow sorry for the photo quality. Ran it through procreate to white out the plates and it must have compromised the quality :p

Chattanooga? I assume you go to a dealer? Or are you saying you take it to VW's plant there?

Yes, I put it on the assembly line and they rebuild it for me every 10,000 miles.
Soon I will have a new Passat. :D

On a serious side, the dealer I ordered my car thru is Village VW in Chattanooga.
So far they have done good work at 10,000 and 20,000 service interval.
An 83 mile drive (one way), but the other option is 65 miles to the West of me. But I am not a big fan of that dealer.

I haven't had a chance to wail on the car yet. I had just a few opportunities to accelerate hard, and that was on surface streets so I don't have a good feel for the changes. But the engine spools faster and more effortlessly. I was hoping for louder DSG farts from the downpipe, but they seem very much like with the stock downpipe. Maybe the catted Milltek wasn't the right choice.

The vibrations that I feared would result from the dogbone insert aren't there -- I'm very happy about that.

Also, the turbo muffler delete had to come out again, there were problems with the fitment, apparently Eurocode received some that weren't machined correctly. They are checking their stock and I will come back another time.

east to west, is flat red an available color?

You can literally do anything that you can do with normal car paint to my knowledge. I layed down a black base layer and then mixed silver pearls into a clear topcoat and sprayed that on. Finally an additional few layers of a 50/50 mix of matte clear and gloss clear to get a satin finish that gives the pearls a sealed over look like a clear coat would. That gives it a sort of "wet" look as opposed to just flat matte. Look up photos of red plastidip cars. Options are endless as you can mix any normal paint pearls in it.

And as far as the wheel specs, they're Alzors I got off of ECS. 18x8 square set, ET35.

Here are some awful photos of my dip I just took. Please excuse the awful condition of my real paint. Major detail planned for this week *sigh*. I liked this metallic color because it makes the black trim stand out as actually being black without loosing the whole blacked-out look in general. As you can see it also has holographic micro flake that looks almost identical to the one used in the DBP factory paint:

They're a good look. Just got a deep black and i've been searching for wheels that are the right fit. most are too chrome and not what i want. was leaning towards the Rse10s but those are damn good as well.

Yeah I was honestly worried about the quality since they're a $500 set of wheels, but they've held up just fine and I've put about 15k miles on them I'd say. I like the BBS LM-ish reps that they make as well and have been considering buying a set if I can't find a used set of real BBS' for a good price. I'd kill to have these on my car (just a photoshop):

I've had my car since September of 2014 and have just started doing some performance mods since my 40,000 mile inspection about a month ago. Loving the tune so far.

Added some driver stripes to the fender, front+rear black emblems, dipped the GTI badges, 6000k lowbeams, and Osram nightbreaker corner lights.

Sorry for the poor quality shot. Once I get my coilovers on I'll go out and do a proper shoot.
