Need to figure out how to permanently disable this auto start-stop ASAP. This morning I was backing into a parking spot and I guess because I came to a complete stop before putting it into reverse, the engine shut off. Then I shifted into reverse and it turned back on but stuttered and hesitated for a second.

If you just want to disable it fast disconnect it from the side of the battery. Mine's been that way since I bought the car. You will get a message each key cycle just once that it isn't operative. I don't even notice the brief message anymore. And it's free.

Apparently you can go into adaptations and change the requested voltage limit for the start-stop function. It'll never hit the voltage you set so it'll never automatically turn on or something? Not 100% sure. Reading a few different threads about it.

Yes you can do that with VCDS, OBDeleven and Carista. You asked for quick and my way takes 10 seconds and it's free. If you have other uses for the above mentioned tools then by all means go that way.

Not on his year, you can no longer do it with tricking the voltage threshold on (some 19s and all 20+ ) cars.

I didn’t try the “un plugging it method” but I did recently put this on Tiguan… it’s great and Still makes the button work but just reverses it’s memory protocol so that it’s always OFF unless you push the button.

I didn’t try the “un plugging it method” but I did recently put this on Tiguan… it’s great and Still makes the button work but just reverses it’s memory protocol so that it’s always OFF unless you push the button.

Played a little bit w/ the license plate light settings. Reduced the brightness during normal operation for "better" visibilty. As soon as the trunk is open they act like puddle lights in full brightness.

Coding changes:
Leuchte25KZL HA59-Dimmwert AB 25 to "30" (adjust brightness to your liking)
Leuchte25KZL HA59-Lichtfunktion C 25 to "Heckdeckel offen"
Leuchte25KZL HA59-Dimmwert CD 25 to "100"
