Since I technically still have a "GTI with a trunk" or whatever Car & Driver called the GLI, I think I can continue posting here..

I used the Car-Net app to remote start my car this morning from my bed to both harm the environment and also make sure my butt was warm as soon as I got in.

Not a huge fan of drilled rotors in general (cracking) or slotted on the a street car (noise and wear), but I use z26 front, z23 rear for the street and they've been fantastic. Z23 of probably the better choice than z26, as I get a little noise out of the z26 when temps get to the 60's or lower. Not much of an issue in Florida though.

I don't track my car and never will, so it's not a concern. Noise isn't an issue, and I'll see about wear. This was a complete kit from the vendor. I couldn't find any concerns about noise or wear with them on any platform.

I'll be interested to hear your impressions. I've used slotted rotors before and they were noisy while braking and ate pads.

I have some slotted and dimpled rotors in the that only have like 800 miles on them for that very reason you noted, lol.

I hated the noise they made once you went above like 25mph, and next to walls and barriers it was a frequency that drove me crazy.! Tried them with hawk Hps pad and ceramics and results were the same. Looked cool though 😂
