Installed my knockoff Dynablink turns (I hate that one can't upload video). Busted both tabs on the driver's side mirror cap, but that's what super-glue is for. Passenger side tabs were much more forgiving. Assuming these last, I can't imagine why anyone would pay $200. I paid less than $40, and I'm ecstatic about them.

I'm sure it does a fine job but why switch from something I've used for the last 25 years and I know works.

Wash, clay, polish, seal, wax.

Took me a good 10 hours to do a proper job, but worth it.

That looks awesome. I've had everything I need: electric and air powered da machines, every type and size pad, every level of polish, clay bars, touch up paint and clear for the chips, mountains of microfiber pads, lights, stands, tape, ceramic sealant, carnuba wax, etc etc for many many months.

I just can't motivate to do it because I know it's going to be a weeks long project. I can't do that kind of physical work for more than a few hours at a time before my body says "no more!"

The car already looks great from 10+ feet so no one but me would even notice.

I use Wenol for exhaust polishing.

For me I took the Golf-R for a spin yesterday so cleaned her up real well this morning. I got pulled over yesterday because a cop thought I had no front plate mounted on my car. I have this specialty vanity plate on my car (mounted off to the passenger side using the member made 3D printed mount) and the cop apparently did not see it when we passed each other on the hwy. Anyway he apologized and let me go.

I just made a day of it and took it step by step. I started at 8am, stayed hydrated, stopped for a 15 min lunch, and listened to the LeBetard podcast from this week. I have a rolling mechanics stool for working on the lower parts of the car, so that helped alleviate the wear and tear a bit. I chose to do it all in one day but if it needs to be broken down over multiple days then so be it.

Get it done and post pics of your mirror on wheels.

Nothing.

I spent 5 hours replacing the FSB links on a CR-V for a co-worker of MrsDutch. A grand total of four nuts to remove once the wheels are off. Pipes on wrenches, wrenches on wrenches, PB Blaster, everything short of a torch today. New England rust is no joke.

At one point I had to use a jack as a press to push up on the handle of and clamp a beefy set of vice-grips on one of them, then use the jack to crank a wrench while the vice-grips held the assembly in place against the axle. Ended up cutting that one off with a sawzall once we cleared enough space to not butcher the sway bar.

Did the job for a bottle of whiskey so we're all winners. All in all, it was a good day.

My forearms are sore.

Nice job. I detailed my friend's '17 the other day and I just used some Simple Green and a Scotch Brite pad.
