About to acquire a GTI - what tires do you recommend ???? Goodyear, Michelin or other ???

My favorite is the Michelin Pilot Super Sport for summer use. It works well in daily driving and sticky enough for an occasional track day. They also last longer than most Max Performance Summer tires. I ran these on my BRZ and they were awesome.

Potenzas are horrible, unfortunately i got them with my car. Now i run goodyear ultragrips as winters and dunlop sport maxx's as summers. Works pretty good.

Are RE11's and RE71's not a good Potenza?
No one ever talks of them.

I think theyre talking about the ones that come on the GTI, not Potenza's as a whole.

I haven't tried other versions, as I was very disappointed with this version of potenzas in the first place. Hell, I even had a nightmare about somebody swapping out my Conti Sport 5 tyres out for Potenzas... Happy to be without these things now.
