Shark fin replacement options

Anyone think the Shark fin on the MK7 is kinda ugly? Are there any other shark fin shapes you can get to replace it?

The stock one looks like a tiny airplane tail.

It isn't a shark fin, BMW's have the shark fin ones. You can get replacement ones that are the same as the BMW shark fin but they look like your trying too hard as they don't match the angular shape of the Mk7 like the standard one.

Not worth it IMO. You would have to make sure the new antenna would work with the 4 connector underside of the stock antenna.

paint it or have someone paint it. You should be able to get paint that matches your cars color in a spray can.

Lol, I just notice it when I wash/ dry the car to be honest, but as suggested above it would be nice if was color matched

Great point paints have metals that inhibit signal you could have it painted and have either worse or possibly no reception of some frequencies

You should be able to get paint that matches your cars color in a spray can.

Never paint a car's exterior parts just with a spray can. Fugly!

So wrap the roof glow black and it will fit in then.
Maybe VW knows the roof looks better black as they did the Clubsport.
