Installed the precision racing fuel line kit. Used the string method as seen in the video by everything CPO but I went the opposite direction because of the AN 90. There were some differences worth noting on my 17 S3 as compared to what some gti/R owners have come across with this installation. My fuel line was not foam taped to the vent line inside the channel underneath. My fuel line had a braided jacket and wasn’t attached to the other line at all. Made that a breeze. Also the black plastic cover in the engine bay slid off and on easily. The only thing securing the lines to that are the plastic spring clips. Different part number perhaps. Or model year difference. I noticed when threading the fitting into my MPI rail it went one turn and stopped. Hmmm. Backed it out and triple checked I had it straight. Same thing. Then I noticed the collar on the fitting was just barely touching the cylinder head. Removed the two bolts securing the rail gave me the cunt hair I needed to pull back on the rail and thread the fitting in. I’m not 100% thrilled with the placement of the ethanol sensor but it works.
