I just had to replace a terminal bus on a Chevy Silverado at work for this lol. Someone reversed cables trying to jump it. $150 part that takes like 2 minutes to swap

$150?? That’s expensive for a little part, fortunately mine was only $50

I did this mistake over a year ago to my son’s GTI (don’t ask).
Installed new battery backwards in a rush. Exact same problems described in this thread. Limped car to the dealer. They kept it for a week. Reprogrammed ECU, new alternator. Was painful (to my pride and wallet). Car came back 100%.

Ah man sorry to hear that. Everything in my car works as it should and it drives 100% just no power steering. Waiting for the part still😑hopefully all is well after I install that

FINAL UPDATE:
The part showed up today, got it all installed as well as a new battery and everything is back to normal. No more lights on dash, power steering is back 100%, had to clear the codes for the parking sensors but they work now too. I’ve driven it 3 times since and everything is working as it should. Thanks to all that helped me as I worked through this. Very thankful it wasn’t anymore damage🙏🏻

Why do silver GTIs make me stop scrolling and hang for a moment on them?
