LC is:
1) DSG (if 6MT no LC)
2) S mode on transmission
3) left Foot firmly on brake
4) right foot fully depressing throttle, holding the kickdown switch.
5) let go of brake
Assuming this is factory setup. Cobb has launch/traction control, I don't know the ins and outs of it because I'm wary of breaking stuff on grippy tires but it definitely exists for 6MT folks as well and is configured via the AccessPort. Other platforms may handle it differently.

@Shy Guy who are you tuned through? Did you select any LC options on the 'menu' when you were getting the tune?

It sounds like @Shy Guy has DSG but yeah Cobb has LC for 6MT, I got it with my EQT protune... it works really well, I have only done it a few times as im on the OEM clutch* and I also dont wanna break anything...

You can also enable flat foot shifting, but I didn't get that...

*Im now about to reach 10k mi on my OEM clutch with the stage 2 tune and everything so far so good.... EQT did make me a custom "low tq" protune though, and im very gentle with the cluch, always down shift, never go WOT below 3k... etc)

ah, yeah I have the APR tune, I don't think that offers it.

Edit: Just looked through the owners manual (my car didn't come with one so I had to download it) and see it is built in from the factory. Nice. Gonna have to play with that.

The more I read about the Schroth install, the more it's looking like I might need to get creative with my solution. Just to pitch this, would it be dumb to install a stud sized correctly to bolt into the stock location, with a tapered section to allow the Schroth harness, and a nut on the end installed with Loctite? IIRC the torque spec is only like 20 ft-lbs, so I'm thinking this isn't an absurdly awful idea. I just don't really want to die in a crash 🙃

e: I'm dumb, looks like a thread adapter and a grade 8 bolt are probably sufficient to do what I want. EZPZ, going to take some measurements and figure everything out when I get home.

I've been using a 42 Draft Design spacer since day 1 and still going without any issues.
Picked one up…hilarious…. Had to sign an off road waiver lol

Stupid question of the day for DSG folks:

Does the ECU tune control when the transmission downshifts based on throttle percentage depressed?

Or is that strictly the transmission tune that does it?
