Yeah gonna be hard to adjust back to normal speeds. I did actually have a cop flash his cherries at me the other day and yell at me from his window, but when i asked him if he's pulling me over. He got mad and drove off.

Nah, traffic usually flows 25-30mph over. Years ago, it wasn't a misdemeanor speeding until 31mph over. They changed that to 26mph a few years back, but it's usually supervision and a fine.

Yes we can use radar detectors. But with instant on radar guns it's not effective. Most of the unmarked cop cars I've seen don't have any antennas that you could see from any distance and they've got aftermarket wheels too. I've been beside them at stoplights and their tint is so dark you can't see in the car.

I wouldn't be without my detector - even in an instant on (radar) scenario unless you are the first car on a deserted road, you pick them up flashing it on to check cars ahead of you so at least gives you a fighting chance. Of they've got laser though it's often a case of 'ticket notifier' unless are running jammers too. In the 'mobile from the opposite direction' scenario they usually have the radar permanently running and a decent detector may well have saved you there.

Trying to gauge how much I should be expecting out of my car in it's current form. GTI S Non-PP - IS20 - Stage 2 APR Everything - 91 trash gas - No weight reduction/fat driver. Just put on new Indy 500s but still running on a shitty farming road and having traction issues at launch. Is this pretty much what I should expect before going to a bigger turbo with all of the current stats/factors?

What trans and how bad is the traction at launch? That's not real good for a stage 2 GTI but if your traction is that bad then .........

It's DSG. Launching at 3.5k. I have traction control changed with obd11 to ESC Sport/ESC Off and always run with ESC Sport. ESC off just felt like it spun forever but that was on my bad tires before. Maybe I need to turn ESC fully off and let the new summer tires do their job?

Certainly worth a try. If you can get better traction I'm sure you could get the 1/4 time down to the low 13's. Maybe even try launching from a lower RPM.

Lower the psi in the tires too, but even then you won't get a good launch being on the street in a FWD car with street tires. Cut some weight too.
