You just spoke with paypal again and Paypal said that they could send the refund as a check to Tommy. For that, you would need his address to give to paypal. They will only accept the info from you to make sure that is what you want.

When this is all over, send the info paypal to get that account shut down

Yep. The first few were American English, then it switched to something Eastern European. Our American friend appears a little less aggressive to get my monies. Wonder how many twittle about in this scam, and who seals the deal gets a bigger cut.

It is unusual for Americans to be involved in these types of scams - not the scam part, but the cooperation with Eastern European/Russian scammers. That is unfortunate because it means that they are getting better.

It’s easy money, as the OP has sadly shown. People have become too trusting of random strangers in the web, enough to circumvent systems in place to protect them.
