JB4 Logging, stacking and Map 6 Discussion

Ok ran a log today and not sure what to think of it. Thoughts? Stage I just a drop in filter and nothing else MAP 2 on 93 octane

With just a drop in filter, I would run map 1. With my setup (shown in my sig) on 93+3 gallons of e85, there was no difference between map 1 and 2 (actually ran 1/10th slower on map2 with the same 60ft) when I went to the track, and the butt dyno says it pulls stronger under 3k in daily driving on map1.

I still learning but you have at cca 4500rpm and cca 5700rpm wheel spin or clutch sliping ... At 5200rpm your ecu lower ign so probably you losing power and if you lower boost from 5000rpm for 0.5 you will not get that... Probably bad fuel and if you upload log file to datazap someone can better look into it. If you have clutch slip then lower boost also in range between 4000-5000 for 0.5 or more until you stop getting slip...
But wait for some other more experience user to comment.

Interesting. I’m DSG so no clutch slippage but there may have been some tire slippage with our crap roads here in PA. I’ll try out MAP 1 as well. How do I share the full data log? Is there a way to export from the app?

Read a few pages back someone posted a Map 6 dyno that was very close to the revised Cobb stg1 tune.

This is interesting

I've never run additive on map6 before, only absolute.
I used the settings described on that post and I love it.
Maybe the snappiness that I like from map2 is a value of additive boost vs absolute.

Im starting down the road of optimizing a Map6 for my 2016 S3 w/ Injen Intake, CTS BOV, JB4

Fuel used was 93 octane mixed with a few gallons of E85 which by my math should of brought me to around 30% ethanol

https://datazap.me/u/serzyfritz/201...map-6?log=0&data=1-3-4-9-11-14-18-25-26-27-28

I had done a few Map2 runs and logs but I saw a bit of timing corrections and overall lower timing as well so I went to a map6 additive setup

Any tips on where should I adjust from here, more boost?

Map6 is
FOL = 40
AutoShiftBoostRedux = 50
1500 = 2
2000 = 3
2500 = 4
3000 = 4
3500 = 4.5
4000 = 5
4500 = 5
5000 = 5.5
5500 = 5.5
6000 = 5.5
6500 = 5.5
7000 = 4.5

Had time to log a run tonight, this is Map 2, 93 Octane, 73F ambient. Car was just up to temp.

I want to put together a map 6 but need some help understanding the log and a good starting point for map 6. I am used to the world of Dyno tunes and really kind of letting the tuner set the car up, so no clue what i should be looking for right off the bat.

Here are the track times I promised Diggs.
Started in map 1 (my best time) then switched to map 2 (ran slower/same) then 6 at the end.
Ambient temperature was 72 degrees on the first run and slowly lowered to 66 by the last run over 4 hours.
Tires were stock Bridgestone all seasons, with 30psi in them, the last run I lowered to 27psi.
The 5th run on map 6 started pretty good, but the Vette in the lane next to me lost control going into 2nd or 3rd and I thought he was going to come across the line at me, so I backed off for a second.

Conclusion: no major difference in final times between maps that have similar 60ft speeds. (traction is difficult with all seasons)

RUN 1, MAP 1, 72* Ambient https://datazap.me/u/ale-5six1/best-run-trk-map-1-72-tires-30-psi?log=0&data=1-4
RUN 4 MAP 2, 72* Ambient https://datazap.me/u/ale-5six1/map2-trk-72-tires-30-psi?log=0&data=1-4
RUN 5, Map 6, 65* ambient, lifted off gas https://datazap.me/u/ale-5six1/map6-trk-65-tires-30psi-let-gas?log=0&data=1-4
RUN 6, MAP 6, Ambient 66*, 27psi tires https://datazap.me/u/ale-5six1/map6-trk-66-tires-27psi?log=0&data=1-4

Nice runs man. This is mine from a week ago.
GTI JB4 Map 6 e30 (no down-pipe or any other mods).

This is the log I grabbed while doing the run: https://datazap.me/u/jranchod16/1st-drag-pass-135105csv?log=0&data=1-3-4-11-21-25-26-27

Wheel hop is still killing my launch even with Indy 500 - boost by gear helped. Shifted at around 6krpm as best as I could. Still chasing the 107/108 trap speed of the APR stg1 guys. I feel the 1/8th mile trap speed is there.
