That's what I am seeing, I was going to create few logs tonight and take a look. Although when I look at them it's like a dog looking at a painting.

Ahh thank you guys for explaining that to me! I am just trying to learn and be a guinea pig with logs.

Hexx when you say fuel dump what parameter are you looking at? Or what is it called on the COBB logs? Also what are the acceptable numbers?
If you go back and look at my log, you literally see a huge fuel dump. Right before 4000rpm, my AFR is 14.11. As soon as the KR in cylinder #1 goes to -5.6, the ECU pulls timing bigtime, my ignition final goes from -4.5 to -10 and my AFR instantly goes from 14.11 to 10.88. o_O That's literally what you call a huge fuel dump. AFR should gradually go from mid 14's to 12's as your RPM's climb. When you see it instantly go from 14's to 10's, the ECU is thinking it's protecting the engine from grenading so it starts dumping in fuel. So something is causing this timing pull/fuel dump. That's what needs to be figured out.

Ok I ran 2 more logs. AFR looks good so no fuel dump right? Its right around 12 but at the higher RPM around 6.4 there were knocks.

Here is another log right after
knock at the beginning but not at higher rpm

but AFR looks good what else should I look at?
No fuel dumps at all. Your AFR's look good. You see how they steadily go from mid 14's to low 12's as your rpm's climb? That's how logs should look. Same with your timing. I'm kinda jealous. I wish my logs looked like that. :/ lol

hi everyone, just installed map stage 2 file on my 2017 gti and took it for a ride to get my first log, let me know what you think.

Some correction up top at -3.8 not the worst we have seen. Boost gets up around 27.8 which is quite high for my liking.

AFR seem ok and hold in the 11's up top, I guess for safety.

Your timing builds quite nice right until you get the KR of -3.8

Overall I'd say it looks pretty good. Just quite high in boost and some correction up top. Def better than some of the logs from others we have seen.

i hate cobb but i had the accessport in my st, and i really like that you can monitor things like knock and boost and all that. i have been wondering if it would be worth it to go with an ap, because i already have the eurodyne stage 2 ht. one thing i like is the tunability of the ap, with eurodyne we are still waiting for the maestro thing or whatever its called, and then the nightmare of finding someone who knows how to use it for tuning. being in germany means i have to rely on email tunes. seeing that map's ots tune makes a lot more power, im wondering about switching over. i used map for a few of my things on my evo, they did the stage 3 work on my head.

how much would this cost?

Jesus man those are clean as hell..

Well I have one i did acrossed multiple gears that have some knock, but they were also the first runs i did on the tune so maybe that had some play, but they still were not bad. Here is one gear 2-4 WOT:

And for shits and giggles i took a short log just cruising driving back home with lower rpms:

I flashed to MAP Stage 1 and did a couple logs. Previously, ran Cobb OTS Stage 1 and 1+. From pure feel, I feel that MAP Stage 1 is much smoother driving around town and in stop-go traffic, compared to Cobb. The power delivery is also more linear.

Reviewing the logs, I believe the car also reacts better with MAP Stage 1 tune, using lower boost and lower timing.

Cobb Stage 1+
Peak Boost: 26.5 psi taper to 14 psi
Timing Final: 9.5

MAP Stage 1
Peak Boost: 25.4 psi taper to 18.4 psi
Timing Final: 6.5
http://www.datazap.me/u/moonluv810/map-stage-1-log-1?log=0&data=9

Car has the following: drop-in intake, turboback, RS7 plugs, 91-octane, in Denver (5.2K).

Would love to hear any comments and inputs on the logs.

Thank you!
