What's the right tire pressure?

Hi,

Sorry for such a basic question. I'm not sure waht my tire pressure should be!

My new golf was delivered about a month ago and I've just got round to checking the tire pressure to calibarate the monitoring system. My tires were set to 46 PSI out of the factory, but on the sticker it shows it should be 35 PSI. What do you all use?

It's the 18 inch wheels so not sure if it should be higher because of that but I would've expected the sticker to be updated? Tires were cold.

If it's cold in your part of the world put it like 3 or 4 PSI above the posted number on the door jamb.

For my 18 inch wheels I go with 37PSI cold, which is what is recommended on front door panel.

Had 2 tyres recently they said 36 in front was recommended and 34 rear

Depends on your OEM make of tyres. I have Continetal contact sport 2 and the label is like this:

On these I run 39/39 because I always have 4~5 people in my car.
