$150 will set you up with a Viofo A129. Or if size matters to you and you don't want some huge gaudy thing attached to your windshield, chip in a little more and grab a Viofo T130.
I'm a broken record, but everyone needs a dashcam. You hear people say all the time "Man, I wish I had a dashcam", but you never hear anyone say "Man, I wish I didn't have a dashcam."
12v Tire inflator is always good to have in the back and pretty cheap. LED rechargeable flashlight for the glovebox, always come in handy in bad situations. Extender magnetic tool if you don't already have one, great for random DIY work or roadside fixes. Small roadside toolkit to keep in the back with most tools you'll need in a jam.
