Sounds like hypothetically you couldn't keep the longer 5 and 6 gears from a Mk7 with the shorter 1-4 from a Mk6? That would be ideal. 6th in the Mk6 was way too short. I like being able to easily get mid-upper 30s MPG in my Mk7

My donor input shaft being a different ratio (4th & 6th gear) didn’t mesh with the rest of the set, so what you’re looking to do may not be possible.
Each gear has a “pair” and each of them needs to be a match set.

I feel like the Tiguan manifold cover would be a nice addition here. I'd keep it black, but I think it would help accentuate the red accents in the bay.

A Tiguan manifold cover, huh? Well, my wife is away and she never looks under the hood....Even the filter is red

Took the wookiee for a spring cruise with the local VW community. Drives great and not as harsh as I expected with the full verkline catalog installed.

No pics, but we went to the Cars & Coffee at Steel Stacks on Sunday. Nice time, lots of neat stuff, stopped and got Yocco's after so that was a win. Also got into mild shenanigans with a woman in a mk7 -- I think both of us were surprised when we were a dead even match. Also ran my friend's mk8, which I gotta say those things are no joke out of the box, I was surprised. Hoping he starts modding it soon.
I've NEVER had an easy time with that hard line......PITA every time. really hope it works for you!
