My CM fx550 was a good clutch… I just broke the Sachs DMF and Because I selected the puck style ceramic disc it didn’t work well with my driving style of smooth engagements.

Going with one of those organic disc and Heavy duty PP and not the extreme, you’ll be more than happy with it.

It’s always nice to note that CM ACTUALLY manufactures their clutch, many of the
companies like SB and such just “assemble” one companies clutch discs and one companies pressure plate into a box, they just figured out a combination of those 2 manufactures parts that many end users have been happy with.

Crank walk can happen stock or modded, DSG or manual. Brand of clutch has nothing to do with it.

I’ve got 68k miles on my DKM twin disc, no issues

You can also look at A3 engines... But let's not talk about that.

A3 engine doesn’t have exhaust side variable timing like the GTI, so not a direct swap.
