No doubt I’m a stubborn manual guy, but Considering I’m about to drop my trans in the next couple days cause I’m dealing with some engagement issues and odd noises... and well since the start of covid I’ve paid 2 times now to have a new clutch put in the car (Doing it myself this time as I’ve lost faith in others ) The last thing on my mind it’s telling anyone “should be a manual” haha.

Chicks will see you pushing and be impressed at first, but then think you're just being a cheapskate.
You're better off springing for a few gallons of gas and letting the car move under it's own power.

One more for good measure: installed a set of Euro rear headrests. SUCH an improvement, both aesthetically and for rear visibility (and being able to put the rear seats down without hiking the fronts up has been a big plus also.)

Went from JB4 map 6 using E30 ish to EQT stage1 OTS with Cobb DSG tune. Love how linear the car feels now. Feels faster too. Might snag their E30 file in a couple months.

Now get the EQT DSG tune. It's way better than Cobb 's. Especially in Sport mode. Doesn't gear hunt like Cobb' s either.

A couple of months ago, I picked up a lower engine (intake manifold) cover on the classifieds here. The unfinished look of the intake manifold always bugged me, despite how infrequently my hood is even up. But the new cover sat crooked. The ball stud I got was apparently taller than the correct piece (it also had fine threads, not the coarse threads others have described).

So today I got around to trimming the standoff on the intake manifold to get the cover level. It's the dumb little OCD things on top of dumb little OCD things...

Got around to changing the plasti dip on my Detroits from bronze to gloss black today for my winter wheels setup. These things have been awesome on my mk6. They're heavy as hell and combined with some snow tires, the mk6 was a beast in the snow. I'm hoping that will transition well over to the Mk7...

Don't mind my dry ass hands. I was trying to show how reflective the gloss is on the second pic. They veeeery shiny.

Technically yesterday, but I ruined my monster mats. I tried spraying them with some Meguiars Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer Aerosol. Hoped it would breathe some new life into them. Looked great when first done. But absolutely horrible after a day. Worse than before I treated them. Tried scrubbing the shit out of them with a stiff bristle brush, but can't get it all off. Not to mention it just smells like that orange Goo Gone stuff.

Just ordered a new set from my local dealer for $80.
