My lease is up on my GTI next year and was maybe looking for something RWD but under $30k. Any thought's? I read some interesting articles here and there! Anyone have any experience with either of these or know someone who has?

or buy a mustang and go way faster for less money (V6) or way way faster for similar money (GT)

/thread

or if you want small and light RWD just get a used Elise for the same price, they're several hundred pounds lighter and several times cooler

Friend has one he obviously loves it.

Slow as balls.

Cheapish interior.

If you mention either to him he'd tell you it is not underpowered and interior is really nice. Hes a fan boy, but its a subaru. Expect most to say its just fine inside, and those that are used to nicer interiors to say its horrible.

Its horrible.

From what I've heard the STi version will mostly be cosmetic.

Most of the shops and vendors I know are getting their FR-S ready for SEMA. It's so crazy right now a lot of shops aren't even taking customers so that they can work on their SEMA cars.

At there moment the forced induction options are very poor for the car. HKS has their supercharger, GReddy has a turbo kit. But for street applications I'm hearing 4-5 psi of boost.

The FR-S drift car from what I heard is on it's 4th motor.

From everyone who has worked on the car 1) it handles great 2) slow as shit

Was visiting my friends the other day. Roll cage was being welded in as well as hydraulic jacks.

After SEMA there will b a lot more options but until then buy one and work on suspension, tires and wheels. I do know there are some FR-S in Japan doing 300 rwhp though.

If you want a slow car with great handling, buy a Mazda MX-5.

Im selling my GTI for one. It comes next week. My brother also has an FR-S, so yes they're spectacular cars.

Page 7. And ignore the statement about a 274hp one. That's all speculation.

And yes the car is slow in a straight line, but if straight line is all you know how to do, you shouldn't be looking at these cars in the first place
