I am thinking of installing OEM splash guards on my new GTI. The installation is quite a long process that involves removing the wheel and drilling into wheel liners. I am also worried about the car looking bad with splash guards.

I live in central Texas and might move to Bay Area in the future. There are occasional rain and some occasional road debris.

To those who don't use splash guards — will road debris scratch the paint? Those with OEM splash guards or other splash guards, do they work well and look good?
Hello,

New to the forum. Live in the UK and have just purchased a VW Golf Mk7.5 GTE. Looking for mudguards for front and rear that are reliable and as close to original parts as possible. VW have told me they have discontinued the front mudguards (part number: 5GV075116) and only sell the rear ones (part number: 5GV075105A).

Where would you suggest I find them that isn't from eBay or China?

Plenty of vendors online have them, some showing in the UK.

Hi krs, thank you for the link but on checking it's in Euros not GBP. Not used that site before. My alternative was to try and contact US companies like this one:
https://volkswagen.worldoemparts.co...wagen-gti-splash-guards-black-front-5gv075116

And see how much postage etc would be.

My alternatives are Rellyflapz but the short version "shortiez":

However I'd prefer the genuine VW part and I'm not sure if using third parties would affect the paint warranty.
