Hey everyone, My mk7 GTI has 116,000 miles, and my EPC light has been coming on.

Anyone know a good VW shop (non dealer) in San Francisco or on the penninsula?

Dubclinic in Santa Clara has been generally good for me.

Elite Performance is great for track prep stuff but not VW specialists, I take my car there for any brake/wheel/tire/suspension work though.

In SF, https://www.tassiinc.com/ - Recommended by my buddy Tom who’s a old VW/Porsche guy.

Burlingame Independent is good and my friend has been servicing 3 different Audis with them for 8 years, they did his timing chains. http://www.vwaudirepairsanmateo.com/

Mixed experiences with DubClinic and 034 for me, but both can figure out the problem.

Autowerkstat in San Jose area might be good too.

My MK4 R32 is at Eserini’s Automotive in San Jose getting the chains guides tensioners/clutch/flywheel/axles/thermostat housing/water pump/belts done. They are not German specialty, but they know VWs very well as they race VR6 motors In their 7 seconds dragster. They could probably figure out what’s up. Reasonable labor rates there too.
