For mk6 yes.

For mk7, no, id probably would try harder to find the 15 wrx that ive wanted at the time or special order, but i was in a need of a car and dont want to pay anymore for rental so i impulsively bought the mk7 with dsg. I need a practical fun to drive car thats quick with good mileage for my current situation as i commute alot and occasionally carry alot of shit.

Im half regret, half happy with the mk7 mostly for convinience of dsg and the tuning.

I'd definitely buy it again. I would have done my mods differently though, skipped stage1 and 2 and went straight to k04.

I'd have bought something way cheaper and more vanilla so I could save the money for a V8.

I'd have kept my mk5 GTI and tuned it up. Drove it stock for four years. Then I would gotten a low miles CPO mk6 R.

I sold my MK6 nine months ago, but things have changed a lot in the past few years. I'm glad I bought it at the time, and under the same circumstances I'd do it again. This forum has been fun too. Good people.
