Does anyone know the part # for it? I have the owner's manual but the leather pouch was damaged. Would like to order a new one. Thx

The Monroney sticker does say it's only leather seating surfaces, steering wheel cover and shift lever.

It's definitely been argued here before. Still, the sticker is ambiguous IN MY OPINION.

It mentions leather four times and calls out "Titan Black Leather Interior" twice implying the interior is leather. It then also notes specifically the "Leather-wrapped steering wheel" and that the front sport seats have "Golf R interior trim w/leather seating surfaces." If ONLY the steering wheel and the seating surfaces are leather with everything else being fake leather and plastic then the interior is not Titan Black LEATHER INTERIOR and the sticker should not have said so. A better nomenclature would have been "Interior: Titan Black with leather-wrapped steering wheel and seating surfaces".

So, while the sticker does specifically identify the leather parts as cb1111 notes, the full interior is not Titan Black Leather as TimCv1 states.

And yes, unless you are meticulous about caring for leather seats, the leather will dry out and crack way before pleather, vinyl, or any other more resilient material that doesn't require conditioners and cleaners so the seat bolsters should last longer in better shape than had they been full leather seats.

VW should be a bit more honest in describing their interior.

Sadly, the owner's manual cover is not leather.

Does the fake leather weigh more or less than the real leather? I think that is more important to know :D

While this is a definite thread fork (if not jack) at this point (sorry), since this was brought up, 3M Leather and Vinyl Restorer is the right stuff for this interior (or your OM folder) and you don't have to worry about which panels are which. Further, because of the treatment on modern leather, traditional products like regular Lexol are the wrong thing to use (cause degradation and damage actually).
