Ah, yeah, that's what I was remembering.

If I recall correctly, this is a problem with metallic films, not traditional dye ones.

On white if not using now.
Iron-x. Lemon scent.
This removed rust stains on white.
Wash, rinse.
Spray iron-x. Sit 5 min Wipe in. Hose off. Clay now if you want.
Wash car again.
Wax and seal.

I have used Iron-X before and it worked well despite smelling atrocious (this was pre-scented options).
Have you had any experience with TRIX from the same maker? Iron and tar remover? Had it on my wishlist for a while...

Those tail lights.. gaaah. I need to do it soon,can't stand it anymore lol. May I ask where you sourced them and your thoughts on the process?

These are BEC Ed’s replicas from BMP Tuning. I also got the harness from them. Recommend BMP.

The install was a bit of a pain, mostly just because plastic trim sucks. But as ShopDAP said so well, “you probably won’t break it...but you might”. But overall pretty straightforward to follow the many DIY writeups online. Took me like 5-6 hours but I’m slow and deliberate.

And yes they transform the look so much, absolutely love them.

My third GTD is (subject to contact!) coming soon. Had two red ones, but trying to find a third used one in the particular spec I want is almost impossible .

Although I've never had it I've always liked white, so I'm happy with what I'm getting.
