I can activate app connect, voice control, sport menus, navigation and lifetime free navigation updates remotely. I can also disable component protection.

Please post your "Installed SW Train Version", "Installed Software MU Version" and "Part Number" information. You can find these informations on software update menu which is accessible by pressing and holding menu button.
You will see a screen like this:

After that I can tell you if your unit is compatible with remote activation or not.

Requirements:

D-Link DUB-E100 Network Card Adapter 10/100Mbps USB 2.0 to RJ45 Ethernet. (Product number: RUBE100BD1A)
VCDS, VCP or VAS5054(odis engineering) diagnostic tools for DELPHI units. (Not needed for Harman and Technisat units)
RJ45 Ethernet cable
A computer with activate RJ45 Ethernet port and wifi internet connection.
FAT32 formatted SD card (min capacity is 4GB)
