its the same dimensions and specs by measurements which i did by ruler.. where do you think these dozen companies make their ICs.. definately most are no in the dang us of a anymore old son... feel free to buy one and measure for urself and open it up and check all that stuff if it makes you feel more comfortable.

and you need to tell me please how wagner is NOT the best if not one of the best ICs on the market.

cheers
Where the radiator and condenser mount to the IC, along with where the IC attaches to the support housing don't leave a great deal of room for variation in sizes. The core having the same dimensions does not mean it is the same core.

I don't know where all of the vendors make these products, are you suggesting every vendor in the world is buying the same core and sticking their own logo on it to differentiate it from their competitors?

If you say something is the best of something, you need to be able to justify why in a convincing manner. Saying it's the best, prove me wrong, is flawed thinking.

" it really is a WAGNER (without the logo)" <--- Is what you need to make a more convincing case for.

Still haven’t had a single issue with mine. Light track duty stage 2. 1 year strong. $360 for the bar and plate.

im saying its very likely that these ICs on ebay are the same as the various brand names (not just wagner) being sold for the wholesale or slightly ... without the names and logos on the units.. same factory.. same specs.. basically same performance (going by users temps and flow tests) .... direct to public instead of to the retailer to put a $500 - $1000 markup on it.

And what i can confirm having one in my possession is... it looks like a wagner, it talks like a wagner, its the same sizes and dimensions as a wagner, has the same instructions and fitting procedures as a wagner... mine just happens to have 73mm inlet outlet which is optimal.... the new wagner spec has been upgraded to 70mm and ive read plenty of drag and racing forums and spoken to some mechanic friends the bigger the inlet/ outlet on a bigger turbo.. the better.

at the end of the day its best by test and most of the ebay intercoolers smaller or larger are doing the job without fail according to many , many , many people.

If you are really curious as to the contents of the core i suggest u buy urself a WAGNER and a WAGNER at ur expense.. cut em open and let us know what u find
What leads you to conclude that these eBay ICs are the same as what AMS, APR, IE, do88, Wagner, etc. are selling?

As for suggesting that I should go and buy a Wagner IC and the eBay IC to see whether your hunch is correct or not, that is exactly the type of flawed logic that is prompting me to question your statements.

u told me to tell u what the core and tanks are like.. ifu wanna know go and buy them and have a look.. let us know what u find champ
I asked you to provide a number of details about the product, you only provided a portion.

So far you've stated:
  1. "it really is a WAGNER (without the logo)." - Based on your measurements with a ruler.
  2. bar & plate ICs are starting to become obsolete
  3. the bigger inlet/outlet is much better it seems according to racing threads, intercooler specialists, and the manufacturers it seems.
  4. most of the 'newer' model ICs now have tube and fin tech with bigger inlets / outlets
  5. bar and plate actually perform worse.
  6. Wagner has the best performing IC on the market.
  7. bigger turbos prefer bigger inlets outlets
  8. it's very likely all of the name brand ICs are really the same as the products on eBay from China.
  9. i suggest u buy urself a WAGNER and a WAGNER at ur expense.. cut em open and let us know what u find
There are enough suspect claims already, I'll pass on purchasing the products just to find out if your guess is right or wrong.

settle down hillary goebbels.. dont have to provide you with any of these documents.. im a free man

but if you really need these confirmations . go spend ur OWN time reading, researching, learning, speaking to mechanics and race engineers with 30+ years racing and mechanical engineering about the functions of intercoolers and the technical ins and outs before coming here and flaming someone joining in on a 100+ page thread with plenty of people vouching for these ICs from real life use. .. and if you really want to know the quality of cores and tanks.. i suggest once again... go and buy urself the ICs that are being mentioned .. cut em open... measure em up and inspect them... and you TELL ME im wrong...

was merely confirming that the IC i have in my actual possession that ive actually spent my own money on and did my own research on... really does fit the wagner description and if u got a problem with what im saying then install whatever the u want in ur own car, drive it around and be happy.

and if you dont think these companys are making all their ICs in china ( like most brands today)... please tell me where they get em done, please provide photos and written proof / signed by the factory director that they are making the said brand name IC. get them to provide pictures of the cores used too please
so did you install it yet?

I'm pointing out the pattern of anecdotal statements followed up with "prove my claims are wrong" challenges.

Hey guys. Will be needing a IC soon here. My IS38 just showed up and I will be picking up my downpipe soon.

I’ve been following this IC for a bit, it seems there have been some changes. Have they worked out the fitment issues? Appreciate any input.
Super long read in here with a lot of conflicting information

I recently replaced my intercooler at a shop and noticed a slight gap between the driver's side headlight and the front bumper and the red trim doesn't line up after the install. I partially removed the front bumper from that side and played around with the three bolts in the center holding the radiator and grill but the gap is still there. Can anyone provide any guidance to get rid of the gap?
Did you try loosening the bolts that hold the headlight and shifting it around? There should be one by the grille top, one by the corner of the bumper (where it meets the fender), and one by the fender that's readily visible with the hood open.

The other thing to consider, is the grille slid into position correctly? That's more likely the culprit, the grilles on these cars aren't as easy to line up/reinstall as they were in older models. Hope that helps! PS don't overtighten those headlight adjustment bolts, you can damage the fasteners that the bolts go into.

Thanks for the tips! I actually read through the forums and already tried both tips but I think I missed the headlight bolt in the corner of the bumper. Do you think it's possible to adjust that bolt without removing the front bumper completely?
I'm almost sure of it, I think that was the one I was able to reach by unclipping the corner and a little bit of creative flexing. With that said, if it seems iffy you might still need to unclip the grille, if I remember correctly I had an easier time accessing it with a 3/8" extension for my torx bit.

Looks like the standard Majesty one on eBay 65mm thick, think most people are saying to get the 50mm tube and fin at this point to skip the bar and plate knock-off IC like that one. I've got the 65mm Majesty off eBay and looks identical and same pricing and I'd probably want the 50mm at this point.
Could you please elaborate on what do you exactly mean?
This one?

Looks like you're in Europe so things are probably a bit different as I'm in the US. That one you linked is the 65mm thicker one that I'd probably avoid, you can see the thickness dimension in one of the pictures. This below is the ideal one but this is out of the US. Just check the pics on the IC and make sure the thickness shows as 50mm and not 65mm:

Read through the thread, I think it's time to upgrade the IC on my 2019. So as of now in 2023, which option for this IC is the best to buy? I've read about a few different versions; bar and plate, tube and fun, different thicknesses, etc. Is the one mentioned above still the best option?

It's hard to resist temptation and buy a Twintercooler kit for more than $200 less such as this one. Plus it looks sweet imo.
