JB4 Logging, stacking and Map 6 Discussion

I just installed my JB4 and have a few questions. I know this stuff was probably answered a lot in the past, but I honestly don't want to waste a dozen hours to get my answers, since I feel that it should be easy to answer.
So please forgive me!
I am running a FMIC, and 93 octane. My plan is to use Map1 or Map2 on the street, and an optimized Map6 on the track. So in my case, assuming 95 degree weather (I don't have that now, but looking for a set and forget tune all year round) should I use Map1 or Map2 for best results?
And as far as Map6, I want to do the logging using the App on my iPhone. Is there anything I need to know regarding settings on the phone? Do I just click the "start Logging" and do a 3rd to 4th gear WOT run, or do I have to somehow set up the parameters that need to be logged?
Any other info would be greatly appreciated. I'm new at this, and just want the best and safest results for my engine. I'm not looking to maximize it where it starts to get risky.

With the mods you currently have and since you access to 93, you could just go straight to map 2. As far as logging goes, if you have an iPhone you will need the BT kit because I don't think it works with the USB cable. If you don't want to drop $135 on the BT kit, you can always snag up the USB cable and run it into the car. I did that and just went and bought a cheap $25 Android phone from WalMart and a cheapo vent mount so I can use the Android phone for logging, firmware, etc.

Thank you, however, I do have a Bluetooth adapter. I was looking more for advice on how to do it. I’m new to this and want to make sure that I give either the forum or George the proper info needed so I can fine-tune map6.
I know that George has asked for certain parameters in the past that needed to be activated. However, on the software on the App, I don’t see any options or anything. I just want to know if I just push the logging button, and that’s it, and the rest will be self-explanatory?

I think I figured it out. I did 3 pulls. 3rd gear ~2,500 rpm's to 4th gear. First was stock (Map0), then Map1, then Map2.
This was the default graph. Is it good? are there any problems? If any other parameters are needed, please let me know, and I can post them.

I won’t comment on the logs themselves (as its not my area of expertise), but I would recommend once you’re done logging on the JB4 app, email the CSV files to yourself and then upload them to datazap.me, it’s the best interface for viewing logs and allows viewers to select which parameters they’d like to see.

Thanks for the heads up! I will try that. I also sent the CSV files to George. I'm waiting to hear back from him.

Here is the log with Map1:
https://datazap.me/u/up4speed/map1?log=0&data=1-4

Here is Map2:
https://datazap.me/u/up4speed/map2?log=0&data=1-4

Here is the Stock Map:
https://datazap.me/u/up4speed/stock?log=0&data=1-4

Can someone with experience please give me their opinion on the quality and safety of these tunes?
Thank you!

You have some timing pull but it advances ok in higher rpm, looks good otherwise.

How many miles on the plugs? I would check and gap or change them if they are worn.

On which Map setting do I have timing pull? Is it all of them, or only one setting that is too aggressive (Map2 maybe)? Will this get worse in hot weather?
I am using 93 octane, and the plugs only have 14,000 miles on them (original plugs from new). Assuming that the plugs are good, what else would cause this? Is there anything else I can do, or check?
Should I run Map6, then lower boost in the RPM's that are pulling timing, or is there something else to do?

Map 6 and pull it back .5 psi from 3-4K vs map 2. I've forgotten but map 6 as is may be the the ticket as it is map2 with a bit less at lower RPM

Thanks! I'll take a look and report back
I'll do a Map6 log and see how it looks, then pull back the boost, and do another log.
Question....will I have to cut the boost back more, once the weather gets very hot in the summer?

On both map 1 and 2 but more on map 2, check ign_1 that shows both timing advance and timing pull on cylinder 1 and ign_2-4 for cyl. 2-4 pull.

I would throw in some new plugs if they got 14k on them or atleast gap them down to .024", I check my plugs every oil change(3.5-5k) and change every other when tuned.

Also try a different pump, check what is recommended in your area in local groups

Or even better add 2-3 gallons of E85 if you got it in the area, turn it up more and raise FOL to 60. 😄

Here are 3 logs run back to back on Map6 using factory settings. How do the logs look?
From my completely untrained eye, and what you guys taught me in 2 or 3 posts, I think it looks ok, lol
Do I need to change anything?

Looks good, you had a dip in ign_1 on the second log indicating timing pull but you cant expect perfect logs unless you are tuned very conservatively for your fuel.
