Decided not to mess with upping my boost so I'm sticking with the JB1 at 5psi (custom low-boost Map 6) and the stock intercooler.

Brand new, OEM, still in OEM box with all foam packing. Never removed from box.

Hey, does it fit into gti models? I see a lot of people putting this R piece in their gti

Hey,

Saw this and had a question if this is the same R piece people are putting in their gti's. If so does it fit flush or will it need triming and what not. I am hesitant about a fmic so this is something i was looking to do.

Thanks
Jonathan

100% plug and play on the GTI. Exact fit with no trimming needed.

What are the negatives of installing this on a gti?
I am very worried about pressure loss and so hesitant about a fmic.

Stage 2 software and pipe currently so this is what i was looking into next.

No negatives other than the install is more time consuming than an FMIC. The R intercooler is stealthy. Almost impossible to tell by looking.
