I stopped using Maxtor a long time ago. I remember when I bought one, it crapped out on me. I returned to Fry's electronics and they replaced it with a brand spanking new one. Worked for about a week, then same thing. Finally, I got a Western Digital and have had no problems what so ever. I thought it was just me, but my uncle had the same issue, and 2 classmates told me the same thing about their Maxtor. I'll never get a Maxtor again. There's a reason why they are so cheap. :iono:
