Drivers Assistance Package w/o Adaptive Cruise?

Today, we had a MKVII car meet up here in NYC. I was informed my car has the drivers assistance package (DAP). I was clearly aware of the massive gap in my lower front grill but always thought it was just the parking sensor. I was told it was for adaptive cruise control (ACC). My confusion is, I don't believe my car has ACC. I don't see the button on my steering wheel to activate it. Is this possible?

What is the thing in the grille for?
If the 2015 has the camera behind the rear view mirror I'd think ACC can be added.

Sounds like it would be doable but...

-sounds like you need to be good at coding (I'm not)
-You have to buy and wire the camera (probably expensive)

so you can get autonomous braking (NO THANKS) and ACC. I guess if you use CC a lot that'd be nice to have. I don't take this car on trips. Have bigger comfier car for that.

ACC works really well on this car. Especially those 1-45 mph slogs.
But that seems expensive to add all that.

If you have the round radar (LRR3), you should be able to code it for ACC without the lane assist camera. See below thread and corresponding blog post for more info.

Well not to rub it in but it’s interesting to find out my car is the sole MY we got a 3-door with Adaptive Cruise. Makes sense why finding one was a [emoji251]
