(Posted in the 'United Kingdom' section too, but not sure if that's a section of a forum, that might only get a reply in 2yrs time , but the car is sat in a local garage atm, waiting on me making a decision..)
I've had a search, and don't seem to be able to find anything , so sorry if this has been done to death...
Bit of background - My (in the UK) 80k mile ,mk7 Golf 2ltr Diesel clutch pedal hit the floor, brake fluid reservoir low, no fluid around the clutch master cylinder. Topped up and tried bleeding, get around 1" of 'feel' in the pedal, but can hear it squelching inside the box, so, I'm guessing the slave cylinder is away.
If the slave cylinder needs done, the clutch is getting done too.
I know the dual mass flywheel is a sore point on modern diesels, but know there's solid 'upgrade' flywheel/clutch kits out there.
The car is getting taken to a garage , and have said they'll fit whatever I want them to fit,
So,
Am I as well 'upgrading ' to a solid flywheel , if so, which kit ? (Links would be awesome)
Or better going for the DMF, as standard.
If its any bearing on the decision, I wouldn't mind getting it mapped in the future (upto 197hp for the 150, I believe?.. )
