What's needed?

OBDeleven, VCDS, or whatever diagnostic interface you have as long as you can change coding/adaptation with it.

Adaptation procedure

There are 4 values that you needs to check/change. Start with reviewing the following if values stored are the same as on the new battery that you have just installed in the car:
Code:
Module 19 → Adaptation → Battery adaptation → size/capacity
Module 19 → Adaptation → Battery adaptation → manufacturer
Module 19 → Adaptation → Battery adaptation → technology
Now make sure that you change the serial number value. It doesn't matter if the new value is taken from the new battery. It just needs to be different than the one previously stored. Most likely this is the way that the control module will know that the battery was actually replaced with new one.
Code:
Module 19 → Adaptation → Battery adaptation → serial number

Test drive

With new battery you will have some warnings on the instrument cluster. This is what you will do:
Engine on, calibrate window end positions (roll them down and some more, roll them up and some more), electrical parking brake disengaged then engaged again, turn steering wheel lock to lock couple times, test drive for 200 meters.
If faults are still there, use OBDeleven/VCDS to full scan the car and check what's wrong.

Why the adaptation?

There's a battery control module J367 (subsystem of gateway) on the negative terminal of the battery. In cars with Start/Stop or recuperative braking it will control the battery charge and manage it. Its said that after replacing the battery one should perform adaptation for the module to proper manage the new battery.

Should I replace my battery?

Bad battery can cause voltage drops while cranking the engine. You can see ACC and Front Assist faults for brief moment if that happens. Also lost calibration of window end positions, steering wheel angle sensor, ABS/ESP/ESC/TC faults together with ParkAssist, TPMS, AutoHold, electronic parking brake, cruise control...

Do I have time?

Do it ASAP, but you can buy yourself some time if you disable PTC (in Climatronic menu), Coming/Leaving Home illumination, and turn off lights and fan while cranking the car.

Old news....this info has been on this forum in DIY guides since at least Feb 2015...

Besides other missed details, You've also missed details on the correct VCDS battery coding required.
