Disable seat belt chime

Where is this seat belt chime speaker located?
I want to unplug it.

Or, perhaps someone in central FL has a VCDS and I could go there?

I actually watched 4 videos with some guy from India, who had a thick accent. searched on this forum, using advanced search, and watched 3 YouTube videos.......

VCDS was what some used, some just unhooked wires under the seats.

None of these vids offered anything close to the expertise offered here....

Search functions on some of these sites is really poor.
I have good luck using google to only search the site of interest.

You can also use Carista for this (good iphone tool). $30 all in with the obd device and one week of editing privileges. Also works for Android.

You will need to buy VW specific software in order to do this, couple options, like Ross-Tech Vag-Com, obd-11, etc. The procedure is;



With a vag-com,

Disable Seatbelt Warning
Go into [17] Instruments
Adaptation Channels -> function 10
Select disable seatbelt warning (Gurtwarner deaktivieren)
change to "yes" (default: none)
