DCC Comfort mode What happened to eco?

So I just picked up a 2016 Autobahn Man. Awesome car love it. Just Just trying to figure out the DCC. In the past I thought the choices were, Eco, Normal,Sport and Individual. Why Comfort?

custom. Where did Comfort come from?

What makes more sense for DCC, economy mode or comfort mode?

What is the difference between Comfort and Normal?

US had Eco Mode in 2016?

Comfort is the softest DCC setting, then Normal, then Sport.

Was there ever an Eco DCC setting?

I think the driving modes (different model years / rest of world) were either named Eco or Comfort.

Maybe VW is trying to shake off the ‘econobox’ image - eco vs comfort???? (see the other thread about econobox as reference)
