I have always been a very aggressive late braker with previous cars on track, and the GTI has proven to be no different. I was a bit concerned with how the stock PP single piston brakes would perform on track, but have been pleasently surprised. They're certainly not ideal, but I can't really complain. But after two full track days, the front calipers are looking a bit toasty. I've seen no degradation in performance, but think maybe these things days are numbered. I am clearly pushing these to the absolute limit of what they were designed to handle. The paint has started to burn off, after most sessions the brakes are still smoking after a proper cool down lap. Have you guys seen similar burning? Have any of you experienced a failure of any kind?
