Apple Carplay vs Bluetooth audio

I know this is an older post but I wanted to follow-up now that I've had a chance to program the Helix sub-woofer DSP. As others have already stated the factory setting is NOT programmed for the MK7 platform, night and day difference after proper programming. The lows and mids are better balanced and the sound stage is MUCH better. Overall the default volume level is still lower than Bluetooth but the audio quality is now superior. Thanks all for your feedback and advice.

I just found this post, I noticed the same with Bluetooth and Car Play. The Bluetooth is louder but also brighter and has better highs...

Now that you have the programmed helix, how does car play vs Bluetooth sound other than the volume difference?

How would you rate the helix? Where did you buy it?

How would you rate the helix?!

I've had it for about 2 years, and for the money, I think it's really hard to beat unless you already have excess audio equipment sitting around.

It's a fairly easy install as well, took me about an hour and a half and I went slow. Could do it again much faster.
